Meet Halen

As an athlete for most of her life, Halen initially came to yoga as a gentler way to move and care for her body. What she discovered was something deeper: yoga became a way to quiet a busy mind, reconnect with herself, and cultivate greater presence in everyday life.

Halen completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with Frog Lotus International in 2010 and has remained a dedicated student of the mind-body connection ever since. Her early training and volunteer work with Mind Body Solutions profoundly shaped the way she experiences and teaches yoga, deepening her belief in accessible, compassionate, body-aware practices.

Over the years, Halen has taught in a variety of settings including studios, climbing gyms, retreat environments, therapeutic spaces, and children’s programs. She has led yoga at Yess Yoga, Hold Your Horses, and Vertical Endeavors, and has experience supporting retreat-based wellness experiences that integrate movement, mindfulness, and connection.

In addition to yoga, Halen has training in massage, Healing Touch, restorative yoga, yin yoga, and Reiki-informed energy work. Halen has been teaching children’s yoga since 2011 and earned her 95-hour Family Yoga Certification through Radiant Child Yoga. Her teaching style is creative, patient, grounding, and rooted in loving-kindness.

Halen also works as a child therapist and is trained in Play Therapy, further strengthening her understanding of emotional regulation, nervous system support, and the relationship between body and mind.

Halen approaches her work as an invitation to slow down, soften, and reconnect. Her teaching style blends grounding, curiosity, and self-compassion, creating a space that feels supportive, accessible, and deeply human. Through restorative practices and energy work, her hope is to help others cultivate greater balance, presence, and connection within themselves.
